Theme: God's Love

FaithLove

Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful, in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in chastity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Reflection for Today

Pause with 1 Timothy 4:12. Hear these words again: “Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful, in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in chastity.”

1 Timothy comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from 1 Timothy 4:12. As I listen to “Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful, in word, in…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
