Theme: God's Love
“Therefore my dearly beloved brethren and most desired, my joy and my crown: so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.”
Reflection for Today
Let Philippians 4:1 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Therefore my dearly beloved brethren and most desired, my joy and my crown: so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.”
Philippians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. If this verse speaks of love, it invites a question that is quietly demanding: whom am I being asked to love more concretely today?
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Philippians 4:1 close to me. Let “Therefore my dearly beloved brethren and most desired, my joy and my crown: so stand…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
