Theme: Mercy
“And be ye kind one to another: merciful, forgiving one another, even as God hath forgiven you in Christ. ”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Ephesians 4:32. Hear these words again: “And be ye kind one to another: merciful, forgiving one another, even as God hath forgiven you in Christ.”
Ephesians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. If this verse tastes like mercy, let it search you kindly. Where do you need forgiveness, and where are you being asked to give it?
Today's invitation under the theme of Mercy is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Ephesians 4:32 close to me. Let “And be ye kind one to another: merciful, forgiving one another, even as God hath…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
