1 Samuel 4:5

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, March 30, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Creation

And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord was come into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, and the earth rang again.

1 Samuel 4:5

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is 1 Samuel 4:5: “And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord was come into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, and the earth rang again.”

1 Samuel is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of 1 Samuel 4:5 remain. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 1 Samuel 4:5, let “And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord was come into the camp, all Israel…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
