Theme: Peace
“As it is taken off from the calf of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And he shall burn them upon the altar of holocaust.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Leviticus 4:10. Hear these words again: “As it is taken off from the calf of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And he shall burn them upon the altar of holocaust.”
Many of us carry quiet fear into work, family, and prayer. This verse does not shame that fear. It invites us to bring it into the light of God. Leviticus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Leviticus 4:10 remain. Name your loudest fear before God without editing it. Then ask for the peace of Christ, not the peace of perfect control.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Leviticus 4:10 close to me. Let “As it is taken off from the calf of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And he shall…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
