Theme: Faith

FaithPrayer

Night and day more abundantly praying that we may see your face and may accomplish those things that are wanting to your faith?

1 Thessalonians 3:10

Reflection for Today

Let 1 Thessalonians 3:10 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Night and day more abundantly praying that we may see your face and may accomplish those things that are wanting to your faith?”

1 Thessalonians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from 1 Thessalonians 3:10. As I listen to “Night and day more abundantly praying that we may see your face and may accomplish…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
