Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Ephesians 3:19: “To know also the charity of Christ, which surpasseth all knowledge: that you may be filled unto all the fulness of God.”
Love in Scripture is never only a feeling. It is a decision to will the good of another, even when it costs patience, time, or pride. Ephesians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.
Today's invitation under the theme of God's Love is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Ephesians 3:19 I hear, “To know also the charity of Christ, which surpasseth all knowledge: that you may be…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
