Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Galatians 3:2: “This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?”
Galatians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Galatians 3:2 close to me. Let “This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
