Theme: Daily Scripture
“Not that we are sufficient to think any thing of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is from God.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with 2 Corinthians 3:5. Hear these words again: “Not that we are sufficient to think any thing of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is from God.”
2 Corinthians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep 2 Corinthians 3:5 close to me. Let “Not that we are sufficient to think any thing of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
