Let Baruch 3:2 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Hear, O Lord, and have mercy, for thou art a merciful God, and have pity on us: for we have sinned before thee.”
If this verse tastes like mercy, let it search you kindly. Where do you need forgiveness, and where are you being asked to give it? In Baruch, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.
