Catholic Verse of the Day

Lamentations 3:22

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Thursday, February 11, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Heth. The mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed: because his commiserations have not failed.

Lamentations 3:22

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Lamentations 3:22: “Heth. The mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed: because his commiserations have not failed.”

A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. In Lamentations, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Lamentations 3:22. As I listen to “Heth. The mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed: because his commiserations…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
