The Church sets before us Proverbs 3:33: “Want is from the Lord in the house of the wicked: but the habitations of the just shall be blessed.”
Proverbs belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Proverbs 3:33 close to me. Let “Want is from the Lord in the house of the wicked: but the habitations of the just…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
