Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Ephesians 2:10: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Ephesians 2:10. As I listen to “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
