Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us 2 Corinthians 2:17: “For we are not as many, adulterating the word of God: but with sincerity: but as from God, before God, in Christ we speak.”
2 Corinthians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In 2 Corinthians 2:17 I hear, “For we are not as many, adulterating the word of God: but with sincerity: but as…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
