Theme: Daily Scripture
“And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them who do such things and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?”
Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Romans 2:3: “And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them who do such things and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?”
Romans comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Romans 2:3, let “And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them who do such things and dost the…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
