Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Mark 2:5: “And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.”
Faith is not pretending we have no questions. It is trusting Christ enough to keep walking while the answers are still unfinished. Mark does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer.
Today's invitation under the theme of Faith is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Mark 2:5 I hear, “And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
