Let Joshua 2:24 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And said: the Lord hath delivered all this land into our hands, and all the inhabitants thereof are overthrown with fear.”
Joshua is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Joshua 2:24, let “And said: the Lord hath delivered all this land into our hands, and all the…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
