Catholic Verse of the Day

Deuteronomy 2:31

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Wednesday, November 11, 2026, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Protection

Protection

And the Lord said to me: Behold I have begun to deliver unto thee Sehon and his land, begin to possess it.

Deuteronomy 2:31

Reflection for Today

Let Deuteronomy 2:31 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the Lord said to me: Behold I have begun to deliver unto thee Sehon and his land, begin to possess it.”

Deuteronomy is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Today's invitation under the theme of Protection is simple and serious. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Deuteronomy 2:31. As I listen to “And the Lord said to me: Behold I have begun to deliver unto thee Sehon and his…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
