Theme: God's Love
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Jude 1:21. Hear these words again: “Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.”
Hope does not erase waiting. It changes what waiting means: not empty delay, but trust that God is preparing what we cannot yet see. Jude comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Jude 1:21 remain. Choose one person who is difficult to love and offer them a concrete kindness today, even if it is only a patient reply.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Jude 1:21, let “Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ,…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
