Theme: God's Love

LovePeaceForgiveness & Mercy

Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Christ Jesus the Son of the Father: in truth and charity.

2 John 1:3

Reflection for Today

Let 2 John 1:3 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Christ Jesus the Son of the Father: in truth and charity.”

If this verse speaks of love, it invites a question that is quietly demanding: whom am I being asked to love more concretely today? 2 John comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of 2 John 1:3 remain. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 2 John 1:3, let “Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Christ Jesus the Son…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
