To Titus, my beloved son according to the common faith, grace and peace, from God the Father and from Christ Jesus our Saviour.

Titus 1:4

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Titus 1:4: “To Titus, my beloved son according to the common faith, grace and peace, from God the Father and from Christ Jesus our Saviour.”

Titus comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Titus 1:4 I hear, “To Titus, my beloved son according to the common faith, grace and peace, from God…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
