Catholic Verse of the Day

2 Timothy 1:6

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, October 26, 2026, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

For which cause I admonish thee that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee by the imposition of my hands.

2 Timothy 1:6

Reflection for Today

Let 2 Timothy 1:6 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “For which cause I admonish thee that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee by the imposition of my hands.”

2 Timothy comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 2 Timothy 1:6, let “For which cause I admonish thee that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
