Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is 1 Timothy 1:2: “To Timothy, his beloved son in faith. Grace, mercy and peace, from God the Father and from Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Faith is not pretending we have no questions. It is trusting Christ enough to keep walking while the answers are still unfinished. 1 Timothy comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of 1 Timothy 1:2 remain. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 1 Timothy 1:2, let “To Timothy, his beloved son in faith. Grace, mercy and peace, from God the Father…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
