Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Ephesians 1:10: “In the dispensation of the fulness of times, to re-establish all things in Christ, that are in heaven and on earth, in him.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Ephesians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Ephesians 1:10. As I listen to “In the dispensation of the fulness of times, to re-establish all things in Christ,…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
