Theme: Daily Scripture
“But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Psalms 1:2: “But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.”
The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Psalms 1:2 I hear, “But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
