Theme: God's Love
“O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which are hurtful to themselves, and the unwise hate knowledge?”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Proverbs 1:22. Hear these words again: “O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which are hurtful to themselves, and the unwise hate knowledge?”
Proverbs belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Proverbs 1:22 I hear, “O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
