Novena for Retirement – Day 2: Letting Go

Today's Focus: Letting Go

Retirement means releasing an identity that has defined you for decades. Today we ask for the grace to let go with peace — not clinging to the past, but trusting God with the future.

Prayer for Day 2

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, I release my professional identity into Your hands. Help me to find my worth not in what I produce, but in who I am as Your beloved child. Give me the grace to close this chapter without regret, knowing that You have something beautiful prepared for the next.

Scripture Reading:
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection for Today

Identity shifts in retirement can be challenging. Many people struggle when they can no longer answer "What do you do?" with a clear professional title. Today, practice answering: "I am a child of God, and I am entering a new season of His plan for my life."
