Theme: Daily Scripture
“Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: I will spread out my net over thee with the multitude of many people, and I will draw thee up in my net.”
Reflection for Today
Let Ezekiel 32:3 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: I will spread out my net over thee with the multitude of many people, and I will draw thee up in my net.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Ezekiel 32:3. As I listen to “Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: I will spread out my net over thee with the…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
