Catholic Verse of the Day

Ezekiel 30:10

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, July 17, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Thus saith the Lord God: I will make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon.

Ezekiel 30:10

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Ezekiel 30:10: “Thus saith the Lord God: I will make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Ezekiel 30:10 remain. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Ezekiel 30:10 close to me. Let “Thus saith the Lord God: I will make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
