Reflection for Today

Let Isaiah 29:19 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the meek shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.”

In Isaiah, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
