Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, June 16, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Strength

StrengthHoly Spirit

And a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that return out of the battle to the gate.

Isaiah 28:6

Reflection for Today

Let Isaiah 28:6 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that return out of the battle to the gate.”

In Isaiah, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Isaiah 28:6. You said, “And a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
