Pause with Psalms 28:9. Hear these words again: “The voice of the Lord prepareth the stags: and he will discover the thick woods: and in his temple all shall speak his glory.”
The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Psalms 28:9 I hear, “The voice of the Lord prepareth the stags: and he will discover the thick woods: and…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
