Catholic Verse of the Day

Ezekiel 27:5

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, June 2, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

With fir trees of Sanir they have built thee with all sea planks: they have taken cedars from Libanus to make thee masts.

Ezekiel 27:5

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Ezekiel 27:5: “With fir trees of Sanir they have built thee with all sea planks: they have taken cedars from Libanus to make thee masts.”

In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Ezekiel 27:5. You said, “With fir trees of Sanir they have built thee with all sea planks: they have taken…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
