Pause with Numbers 27:18. Hear these words again: “And the Lord said to him: take Josue the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and put thy hand upon him.”
Numbers is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Numbers 27:18 I hear, “And the Lord said to him: take Josue the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit,…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
