Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Sunday, April 29, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Family

Family

And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching place for flocks: and you shall know that I am the Lord.

Ezekiel 25:5

Reflection for Today

Let Ezekiel 25:5 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching place for flocks: and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Today's invitation under the theme of Family is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Ezekiel 25:5 I hear, “And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
