Reflection for Today
Let Luke 24:15 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And it came to pass that while they talked and reasoned with themselves, Jesus himself also, drawing near, went with them.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Luke does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Luke 24:15, let “And it came to pass that while they talked and reasoned with themselves, Jesus…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
