Theme: Hope & Renewal
“Because thou shalt have hope in the latter end, and thy expectation shall not be taken away.”
Reflection for Today
Let Proverbs 23:18 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Because thou shalt have hope in the latter end, and thy expectation shall not be taken away.”
Hope does not erase waiting. It changes what waiting means: not empty delay, but trust that God is preparing what we cannot yet see. Proverbs belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Proverbs 23:18. You said, “Because thou shalt have hope in the latter end, and thy expectation shall not be…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
