Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us 2 Kings 23:21: “And he commanded all the people, saying: Keep the Phase to the Lord your God, according as it is written in the book of this covenant.”
2 Kings is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 2 Kings 23:21, let “And he commanded all the people, saying: Keep the Phase to the Lord your God,…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
