The Church sets before us Proverbs 22:14: “The mouth of a strange woman is a deep pit: he whom the Lord is angry with, shall fall into it.”
Proverbs belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.
