Today's Catholic verse of the day is 2 Samuel 22:25: “And the Lord will recompense me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands in the sight of his eyes.”
2 Samuel is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep 2 Samuel 22:25 close to me. Let “And the Lord will recompense me according to my justice: and according to the…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
