Today's Catholic verse of the day is Psalms 20:10: “Thou shalt make them as an oven of fire, in the time of thy anger: the Lord shall trouble them in his wrath, and fire shall devour them.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings.

Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Psalms 20:10. As I listen to “Thou shalt make them as an oven of fire, in the time of thy anger: the Lord shall…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
