Theme: Peace
“Ezechias said to Isaias: The word of the Lord, which thou hast spoken, is good: let peace and truth be in my days.”
Reflection for Today
Let 2 Kings 20:19 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Ezechias said to Isaias: The word of the Lord, which thou hast spoken, is good: let peace and truth be in my days.”
2 Kings is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In 2 Kings 20:19 I hear, “Ezechias said to Isaias: The word of the Lord, which thou hast spoken, is good: let…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
