Pause with Leviticus 19:18. Hear these words again: “Seek not revenge, nor be mindful of the injury of thy citizens. Thou shalt love thy friend as thyself. I am the Lord.”
If this verse speaks of love, it invites a question that is quietly demanding: whom am I being asked to love more concretely today? Leviticus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
