Pause with Joshua 18:10. Hear these words again: “And he cast lots before the Lord in Silo, and divided the land to the children of Israel into seven parts.”
The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Joshua is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
