Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Luke 17:15: “And one of them, when he saw that he was made clean, went back, with a loud voice glorifying God.”
A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. Luke does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Luke 17:15. You said, “And one of them, when he saw that he was made clean, went back, with a loud voice…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
