Theme: Daily Scripture
“For thy judgments, O Lord, are great, and thy words cannot be expressed: therefore undisciplined souls have erred.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Wisdom 17:1: “For thy judgments, O Lord, are great, and thy words cannot be expressed: therefore undisciplined souls have erred.”
Wisdom belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Wisdom 17:1, let “For thy judgments, O Lord, are great, and thy words cannot be expressed: therefore…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
