Theme: Daily Scripture
“To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God but also in the sight of all men.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Romans 12:17: “To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God but also in the sight of all men.”
Romans comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Romans 12:17 I hear, “To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
