Theme: Daily Scripture
“And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have dispersed them among the nations, and scattered them in the countries.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Ezekiel 12:15: “And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have dispersed them among the nations, and scattered them in the countries.”
A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Ezekiel 12:15, let “And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have dispersed them among the…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
