Catholic Verse of the Day

Matthew 11:1

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Friday, March 24, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he passed from thence, to teach and to preach in their cities.

Matthew 11:1

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Matthew 11:1: “And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he passed from thence, to teach and to preach in their cities.”

Matthew does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Matthew 11:1. As I listen to “And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples,…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
