Catholic Verse of the Day

Numbers 11:23

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Friday, February 25, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And the Lord answered him: Is the hand of the Lord unable? Thou shalt presently see whether my word shall come to pass or no.

Numbers 11:23

Reflection for Today

Let Numbers 11:23 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the Lord answered him: Is the hand of the Lord unable? Thou shalt presently see whether my word shall come to pass or no.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Numbers is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Numbers 11:23 close to me. Let “And the Lord answered him: Is the hand of the Lord unable? Thou shalt presently see…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
